Cyclexperience is one of those established family businesses that manages to keep going thanks to the hard work and determination of all our staff and the loyalty and support of our local customers for which we are truly thankful.  We try to move with the times and keep our prices reasonable but also run a generous loyalty scheme where you get up to 10% worth of loyalty points with every spend.

Here’s a brief timeline of what we’ve been up to since we opened in 1993.



1993 Started Business on Princes Trust after leaving Uni. Cycled the then unmapped New Forest on a borrowed mountain bike designing the first tours for our hire customers.
1998 Moved Bike Hire centre to station car park and turned island Shop into a cycle retail unit and workshop
2001 Took over Willoughbys Cycles in Christchurch
2003 Opened new store in Hythe
2007 Started Cycle Hire business near Corfe Castle
2008 Took over Country Lanes bike hire in Railway Carriage
2008 Opened new store at Wareham Train Station
2011 Sold Christchurch & Hythe stores to focus on the shops with hire centres
2016 Opened new hire centre at Brockenhurst Train Station with support from National Park Authority & South West Trains
2017 Expanding Electric Bike range and number of bikes in fleet with guided tours of New Forest & Isle of Wight
