Is it for me?
The New Forest is a place for all ages and abilities to enjoy.
Kids, Grandparents, Friends, Pets...we cater for all abilities, but please check the following advice to help you with your booking.
How often do you rent bikes?
Please read the FAQ section thoroughly and phone us for more info if you don't find all the info on the site. You will probably want to follow our Ornamental Woods route which is the most off-road.
If you have rented elsewhere but not the New Forest, scan the FAQ's and the route pages to find a route that is on our mobile phone guiding app. Then book online or over the phone.
You are oven-ready and can probably go straight to the booking section and book online. But we are here for you if you need extra information prior to arrival.
If you are a mixture, then ask your most experienced person in the group to make the booking!
How long should I rent for?
Our prices are based on a flat fee for most of the day. You can rent for longer but shorter period discounts are subject to availability and only available mid afternoon.
Where will I cycle?
See our route pages or download our App. The routes mostly follow Forestry Tracks which are generally wide, made from compacted flint and not muddy. There are waymarker posts but no directional signs so maps or our app are essential.
What style or size of bike do I need?
We have a wide choice of bikes and our booking system indicates which bike sizes fit rider heights or ages. Take care when choosing attachments as they often don't fit smaller bikes so make sure your taller riders carry the child seats or tow the tagalongs.Book online

Start from the heart! Our centre is just 5 minutes cycle to safe forest trails. Experience the best the New Forest has to offer with one of our handpicked routes.
About the New Forest
In 1079 William the Conqueror created his ‘new’ royal hunting ground mainly for the pursuit of deer hunting. Since then, the unique landscape has been created from many years of ponies grazing, timber production and storms.
Today, the famous New Forest ponies happily feast on the acres of gorse and heather. The ponies live wild but are owned by local commoners who have rights of pasture for their animals.
Since we started renting bikes in 1993, cycling has become one of the main reasons for visiting the New Forest to explore the traffic-free waymarked trails.
These tracks are managed by the Forestry Commission to provide a safe cycling network which balances the needs of recreation and conservation. They are well maintained for all year round cycling and with over 100 miles available you will never feel like the tracks are overcrowded.
In order to preserve the Forest for future generations of visitors, it is important that cyclists stick to these well maintained tracks on the Crown Lands which is SSSI rated.
Our free new forest cycling app includes 5 of our most popular routes which can be downloaded onto a smartphone and will make sure you don’t get lost if map reading isn’t your thing!
The area around our base in Brockenhurst is mostly flat and we have 16 routes following trails and lanes connecting picturesque villages with plenty of pubs and cafes providing excellent refreshment stops. Choose any new forest cycle route and you are pretty much guaranteed to see ponies, cattle, wooded glades, rivers, traditional architecture and far reaching views across heather strewn landscapes.
